A move-out clean in Five Points, start to finish
Last Tuesday a crew of three cleaned a 3 bed, 2 bath bungalow on a street off Glenwood, the day after the owners moved out and the day before the buyer's final walkthrough. Here is how the four and a half hours went.
Kitchen first
Keisha took the kitchen: inside every cabinet and drawer, the oven, the fridge pulled out and the floor behind it mopped, the dishwasher filter cleared. Older kitchens like this one hide a lot of grease above the cabinets, so that got the degreaser and a second pass.
Then the bathrooms and the closets
Two bathrooms with original tile. Grout scrubbed, shower door tracks cleared, inside the vanities wiped. Every closet shelf wiped, every window track cleaned, every light fixture taken down and washed.
The walkthrough
Photos of every room went to the sellers before the crew left. The buyer's agent walked through the next morning and signed off without a note. That is what the move-out checklist is written for.
